Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We are back on her Mar 2- we are so excited. We love that ship and its crew.
  2. Its scheduled for two week dry dock immediately before the transatlantic which is end of March 2024. We were trying to book the b2b right after our Mar 2-11 to find out if was in dry dock. Don't know what's planned for that time so far as refurb goes
  3. Well there are no guarantees in life, but i guess depends on your ticket. The cruise port is fairly close to airport, when we were last delayed with fog they offloaded passengers with flights first, and so i was comfortable with the latest flight on same day HOME. (Going there i always book hotel for day before so that Im not stressed about delays). I figure on the way home, if I get delayed I can usually just go standby on another flight or if you book your flights through the cruise line they will take care of all the details for you! As to what to do….well…..browse your next cruise of course at the airport! Eat potatoe chips cause you cant get them on the ship so youll be craving them.
  4. We got “stuck” out for the better part of the day due to Fog on our trip last January. Everyone on the ship were quite stressed trying to rearrange their flights etc. We had been on b2b for 23 days and had planned a week in florida to follow for business, so we were quite keen to have another day at sea- this March we are booked on Connie again out of Tampa and purposefully booked a 8pm flight home, so as to not fret about what the timing looks like and we can just enjoy the day. Worst case we get back in early in the day, and end up cooling our heels at tpa, which is a delightful airport and I love the PF changs before security! And there is a nice area to sit outside as well before security.
  5. Sad to hear. We were on Constellation for 23 days (b2b) last january and had an amazing time. Perfect food and I mean PERFECT, great service, wonderful staff, yes the ship is older and smaller but the personal attention made is so worthwhile. We are about to depart on a b2b equinox in january, but booked a bonus b2b on Constellation in March as we loved it so much.
  6. We are sailing on constellation and celebrity for the first time (previously RCL travellers). I saw on some ship virtual tours the solarium, the thelasotherapy pool there, and also the sunset bar and a small pool on an upper deck maybe in an aquaclass area- also the fitness area (workout room). We are travelling deluxe veranda and are select. But not aquaclass- which of these areas are open to use or are restricted or at an up fee. Im recovering from knee surgery so we are spending 2 back to back cruises to let me relax and recover in the warmth but will likely be spending a lot of time on th ship.
  7. We booked a shore excursion through the web portal last night and YES it offered to let us apply any amount we wanted from our OBC.
