candkd Posted February 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2012 Does anyone know if the partition between adjoining balconies from Veranda Rooms can be opened so the couples traveling together enjoy a common area?
tiggertom Posted February 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2012 Does anyone know if the partition between adjoining balconies from Veranda Rooms can be opened so the couples traveling together enjoy a common area? Hi, it is just a divider with a simple catch which looks easy to open. I am sure your steward will organise that for you. :)
cpgrneyes Posted February 25, 2012 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2012 They cannot be opened due to safety concerns. They are made of glass, and in rough seas or winds, could shatter.
Bill Leiber Posted February 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2012 Does anyone know if the partition between adjoining balconies from Veranda Rooms can be opened so the couples traveling together enjoy a common area? Hello Candkd - Thank you for your question about whether the partition between balconies can be opened. Please give me some time to check with our ship operations team to determine our policy. Thanks for your patience. Bill Leiber Posted February 26, 2012 #5 Share Posted February 26, 2012 Hello Candkd - I just learned that the only reason the doors separating each balcony can be opened is to give the maintenance crew access to the balconies. The doors are not designed to stay permanently open. We have no way to secure them hence they are always locked in the closed position. Nevertheless, there are a myriad of wonderful gathering places to be old and new friends! Happy Sailiing!
