trojangirl90066 Posted March 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2012 I am going on a partial transit with Princess and trying to find a way I can visit the museum at mileflores. My grandfather helped dig the canal and there is a way you can look a person up at the museum. Can't seem to find anything on the excursion list about it. Richard in Panama Posted March 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2012 Don't know about the looking people up feature, but IMHO the better of the two Canal museums is the Interoceanic Canal Museum in Casco Viejo. It's not generally on the ship excursions I'm familiar with, but I suspect the new Panama City Hop On Hop Off bus goes very close. However, since you are on the partial (turnaround) Canal cruise you will need to take a shore excursion through the ship. There is one that goes to the Visitor Center at Miraflores which has a museum. I know there is a section about the people who actually built the Canal, and maybe that's where you can look up workers. Enjoy! Regards, Richard
