EYWLT Posted July 8, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2011 We just finished a cruise on the Wilderness Discoverer. The overall experience was amazing! 60 passengers, 22 crew members, great food and service. The rooms are small, but we weren't there for the room. The bathrooms are Spartan, but serviceable. This is not your typical cruise. No port calls for shopping, no standing in line with hundreds of people. Kayaking, hiking, small boat (6 to 10 pax), and nature watching fill the days. If you are don't see yourself on a big boat cruise, and if you seek a more active experience, I would highly recommend Innerseas Discoveries. This is a cruise I could do again and again! Sunstone Posted January 22, 2012 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2012 Been on the ships and can vouch for their reputation. They sold out for 2011 and are close to the same for 2012. They have three ships for 2012. Their new tag line is "un cruise". Think of the ship as your MotherShip, plan is to get you off the ship doing activities and exploring the nature of Alaska as much as possible. Price wise the least expensive small ships sailing in Alaska this summer.
