Queen Victoria excursions July

Recommended Posts

I've booked three excursions with the ship for our trip and now I'm wondering if we shouldn't just try them on our own. The one I'm going to keep is Norway in a Nutshell from Flaam, it looks difficult to book on your own. The two I'm thinking of dropping are kayaking in Geiranger and the Briksdal glacier tour in Olden

For Geiranger, has anyone been on the Mt. Dalsnibba tour through

http://www.geirangerfjord.no/ ?

It looks like we will dock with ample time to catch the 9:40am tour, back at 11:45am. And then it appears they have kayak rentals, we are good kayakers so I don't need someone to assist me with kayaking, just need to know if it's possible to kayak and see Seven Sisters from where they launch (I assume it's the same place that the ship tour goes from but am trying to confirm with the company). Has anyone rented kayaks?

And this looks like essentially the same trip as the cruise line at about $40 pp less from Olden to Briksdal, has anyone taken this trip?

Thanks.
