Danube river cruise and weather.

My mom and her sister are leaving in two days going on the Danube River cruise from Budapest to Nuremberg. Can anyone give them an idea on what to expect weather wise?

Also they are wanting to call home a few times. Is is best for them to get a calling card? Will it work in all the countries or do they need to get one in each country they are visiting?

It was pretty warm when we did this cruise. Light clothes were all that were needed until we were near Nuremburg. Then the mornings were a little chilly (but it did warm up during the day.)
