We used a car service from the Super Shuttle website for about $110. A taxi would probably be about the same price. This is assuming you are talking about HOU, Hobby airport. Prices would be higher from IAH, Bush Intercontinental.

We used Super Shuttle last month from Hobby to Galveston and Galveston to Bush on the way back. There was 6 of us along with our bags and we all fit comfortably. Hobby to Galveston - $140.00. Galveston to Bush - $170.00.

Pickup from Galveston was promised between 9:05 AM and 9:20 AM, driver was there at 9:00.

We would use them again.

Rental car is what we are doing. You can get a 12 passenger van for about $90 one-way or a minivan for around $56 one-way.

We will drop the group and luggage at port the morning of the cruise and one of us will return the rental to Texas City and take a cab back to port.

Bonus to having our own 24 hour rental is we can go out to eat, hit the store for soda/wine and do some sight seeing.
