Cruisin'Jenny2 Posted October 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2014 On the Silversea website, it is indicated that the veranda suites have these. Has anyone seen or used them lately? Will they work to both charge my iPhone and play my iTunes from my phone? Do they have the "lightning" connector or the old 30-pin Apple connector? Will it work for an iPad too, or is the docking station too small? ANY help or info is greatly appreciated... Thanks! Jen
myc6toy Posted October 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 15, 2014 Hi Jen, We were on the Spirit in May, and used the docking station. It has the 30 pin connector and will charge your iPhone. iPads do not fit in it, unless you bring an adapter/extension cord. It is nice to have some of your own music to listen to. Cruisin'Jenny2 Posted October 15, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted October 15, 2014 Exactly what I needed to know to avoid toting along my own speaker/docking/charging station. I have a 30-pin to lightning adapter, so it should raise it just enough to let the iPad sit on top (I hope...). Jen

I doubt that a somewhat upright 30-pin connector, an adapter and then an iPad would be very stable and would tilt over quite quickly. It may work but it would be a shame if everything came tumbling down and damage your iPad. (Although with the iPad Air 2 coming out today, that may be a bonus ;) )
Doubled1234 Posted October 21, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 21, 2014 But I don't believe it supports an iphone 5 or 6 if I remember correctly. I've never been able to dock my iPhone 5 on it .. I was aboard Spirit last in March 2014. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
