Back From Adventure Of Seas W/7 Month Old

Just returned from Southern Carib Adventure of Sea w/ 7 Month old Grandson. Entire family on board - anyone have questions would be happy to try to answer - his first cruise - our first with baby

How did you handle the car seat issue? Did you take any tours in port with the baby? We're bringing our 11 month old on the Caribbean Princess at the end of the month and I am stressing about everything! :)

Hope you don't mind me jumping in here, but we took our then 6-month old son on several excursions during our May cruise. We brought the car seat for cab rides between home/airport and airport/ship. Two of our excursions were on boats, so there was no problem, though we did bring a little life jacket just in case.

We did take a taxi van to the beach in St. Martin and my wife wore my son in a Baby Bjorn and she was wearing a seatbelt. Obviously not as safe as a car seat, but safer than just holding him.

Didn't do any excursions. In Aruba, cabbed to beach and back w/baby on lap and Mom w/seat belt. All other islands walked in town w/umbrella stroller.
