Just back from Dominica and Reyno Tours

We've been on a lot of tours and cruises in the past 6 years and last week we used Reyno Tours for a "Nature First then Snorkeling" tour in Dominica. In the past I have had a lot of luck with private tour companies, but not with this one. Reyno had a lot of positive comments on this board, but he really provided us a terrible tour in Dominica. When we arrived at the port, we couldn't find the meeting spot (it was raining and everyone was crammed under one small tent - hard to move around). So, we saw one of his vans in the street and approached the driver who ignored us for five minutes. The driver eventually acknowledged us and pointed us to the meeting location. We went to the meeting location and Reyno was there himself, and handed us off to another guy that did not appear to be one of his tour operators. This 'guide' basically just taxied us around the island, with no explanation as to the island's history or geology. He dropped us off at each of the destinations on the 'tour' and didn't go in with us to explain anything. For instance, at the sulfur hot springs we walked into see them ourselves while he was in the van. Other tour operators were with their customers explaining how the springs were formed. We really felt conned out of our money and will think twice about hiring another private tour company.
