Baymont Inns Galveston?

Has anyone stayed at the Baymont while in Galveston? Also do you know the taxi rate from hotel to the cruise port? Any info appreciated!!!:)

I stayed there last year and thought it was a nice hotel. A bit tricky to find, so call the hotel before arriving to get specific directions.

I stayed at the Baymont last year and would NEVER stay there again. The room itself was only average and the customer service was beyond terrible.:mad: I've never met such rude, ignorant people in my life.

Its ok... rooms are nice..beds seemed hard to me. However, they do not have the AC on in the hall and it was stuffy and smelled bad. They have Fema folks staying there.. and some have pets and that is what smells. The walls were dirty and kids had written on them. I think that is so sad parents allow that type of stuff. Not sure I would stay there again...

We stayed at the Baymont Inn & Suites on 4/11 & 4/12 before our 4/13/09 cruise on the Ecstasy.

My opinion: Don't do it! The room was filthy. Yes, filthy. The floor was "slimy" and had to ask housekeeping to literally scrape off crud on the floor.

I will never stay at this hotel. The staff is rude, the GM is the worst--does not care about customer service.

The place just had a dirty feel to it. It was not worth the price.
