Can we depend on taxis?

Antigua is our 3rd port and after having done excursions at both previous ports the wife and I are thinking about just going on our own to Darkwood Beach or to Valley Church Beach for around 3 hours. If we walk off the ship at around 11am are we going to find taxis still at the terminal to take us? And when we are ready to leave the beach, and this is our biggest concern, will there be no problem getting a taxi to return us?

We've always left the ship 9:30-10 am and never had a problem. We always left Valley Church at 2 pm. You tell the taxi/van what time you want to be picked up and he will be there. If you choose to leave earlier there is someone there that organizes all the transportation back to port with several vans waiting to be filled. Never a problem but I only can speak for Valley Church.
