Juneau Taku Glacier Hovercraft adventure

Has anyone benn on the Taku Glacier hovercraft adventure in Juneau? I signed up for it and now am having second thoughts. I want to see blue ice glacier up close and from pictures of this excusin, it appears all you see is the gritty dirt at shore of glacier? Would heli glacier excusin be a better choice?

My husband and I did this excursion several weeks ago and the highlight was the ride on the hovercraft. It was approximately 45 minutes to get to the point where you board the craft and then 20 minutes to get to the glacier. It is not a pretty glacier compared with Mendenhall or Hubbard. If you want to see blue ice in a glacier, the helicopter would be your best bet. Be aware, if the ceiling is low, the choppers do not fly. Hope this answers some of your questions.
