Burwood Beach Lately?

Hi Gang,

I know Burwood beach was scheduled for a multi-million dollar upgrade this year. Has anyone been there recently? We are scheduled to visit this October. I have never been there but read that it is a nice quiet beach close to the port.

Is that the public beach? I had heard that too. It would be great if that happened.

Yes Burwood is public and it's supposed to be really nice. Outside vendors aren't allowed in and cannot hassle you. I think it's in walking distance from the pier, but we'll probably take a cab. Here's a link to the article.
