Helicopter to Hana _ Road back

We have booked helicopter to Hana over Crater and road trip back to ship. Is this worth doing? Thanks :)

It sounds expensive but if you can afford it, why not?

But, if you will be in Kauai as well, I think a helicopter tour there would give you much more bang for the buck as so much more of it can't be accessed from the road. RTH and the crater are both easily viewed by car.

Agree with the above poster ... we've done helicopter tours on both Maui and Kauai and if I had to choose just one, Kauai would win hands down because of the spectacular scenery. (On Maui, the West Maui/Molokai helicopter tour has a lot of 'wow factor' for scenery.)

On Maui, I'd rent a car and drive up to the summit of Haleakala. Hana is nice if you have lots of time, but on a cruise stop, I'd choose a scenic area that doesn't involve spending so much time in a car.
