Labor Issues in Marseille?

I just read a recent review on CC (July 1 Med cruise) where the scheduled stop in Marseilles was cancelled due to labor issues. I will be in Marseille next month and was wondering if anyone has any more information on whats going on in Marseille or if these labor problems have been resolved? Would hate to have this port cancelled but would at least like to know ahead of time if this is a possibility.

Strikes and "labour issues" are on and off all the time in France. Different parts of the country, different workers, affected. The only thing you can do is check in the days before your cruise to see what's the situation then.

When is your cruise?

Yes, the French are renowned for going on strike.

There has been a 2 weeks strike of employees from the company that operate the ferries to Corsica and it has affected a lot of traffic in Marseille harbor.

It is finished now, so at the moment you can expect to stop is Marseille as scheduled (until the next strike happens :( ).
