Dave4120 Posted January 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2016 Here is my dumb question I suppose. Let me first say, it's not a major issue if all of your answers don't lean in my favor, however, I'm just curious as we hardly ever fly. We are cruising from Fort Lauderdale to Rome Italy, then, flying back from Rome, Italy to Syracuse, NY on May 16th. When I first purchased tickets from the Air 2 Sea Program, all one way fares were in the $00 range-one way per person on May 15th, but beginning on May 16th, the day we plan to fly back, all flight prices were $650 and above one way. With all the prices about the same for our May 16th return, we purchased our tickets from Air 2 Sea for $715.00 each, or $1,430.00 total. We are booked on Delta. I see tonight that all flights from all airlines are still $650 and higher, EXCEPT, American Airlines has two flights that would fit our time frame for just $402.00 each or $804.00 total. Hard to believe that there is a $626.00 difference. My dumb question is: I assume we are out of luck even with Air 2 Sea as far as changing to American Airlines and saving over $600???? Or, is there any outside chance of being able to do this. Thanks very much for your time and help. Dave
Clarea Posted January 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2016 Call the Air2Sea people and ask the question. Sometimes fares are totally non-refundable, sometimes you pay a cancel fee. You might find the cancel fee is less than the amount of money you will save by moving to the less expensive flight.
Dave4120 Posted January 4, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 4, 2016 Thanks for the advice. I guess it can't hurt to at least check. Dave
