lozwot54 Posted August 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2014 Hi I'm a first time cruiser & going on Thomson Fire & Ice next week. Does anyone know if there are any ironing facilities or do I just have to go around in crumpled clothes for 2 weeks. Also any tips on what to pack would be most welcome.

Shimrod Posted August 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2014 There are irons and ironing boards in the laundry rooms. These rooms are a little cramped, so it could be a challenge if there are a couple of people in there.
lozwot54 Posted August 20, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted August 20, 2014 I'd like to know, too! TIA I just looked on Thomson web site, it said the Spirit has 4 laundrettes so hopefully we should find an iron in 1 of them. Have you been before MrsGyp? holiday ahoy Posted August 20, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 20, 2014 (edited) I think there are a couple of irons and fold down boards in each laundry room. You have picked a great ship to have your first cruise on. The Spirit is a lovely small ship, which has the look of the old cruisers. It was our first time on her last year and enjoyed every minute.. Tina.w12 Posted August 20, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 20, 2014 I usually send my ironing out when at home, I'd rather work overtime than iron!! So when going on a cruise I pack un-ironed then get it all pressed on board, comes back all nicely hung for similar price I pay at home. At some point in the cruise there is an offer of a full bag of ironing for (I think) £15.95. (Check with your cabin steward.) It is all delivered back to your cabin on hangers and still hot!
