Trunk Bay or Buck Island for Snorkeling?

We signed up for the private yacht to buck island on St. Thomas but I have seen a lot about trunk bay. Anyone been to both that could say which was better for snorkeling?

I can only say that Ive been to Trunk Bay and while the water was clear and beach beautiful, the snorkeling was not as good as Cozumel or Grand Cayman. If I were going back, I would be looking for a better spot. I heard Cinnamon Bay was good too, right up the road, but not sure how that would compare to "Good" snorkel spots either. Ricknlynn

Having done both, we opted to do Buck Island again on a subsequent cruise. Although the scenery at Trunk Bay is outstanding, the snorkeling isn't. I would stick with your original plans.
