Pre-Cruise Tipping

What would be reasonable tips for taxis from Long Beach airport to San Pedro ($36 fare), shuttles from hotel to pier (free), and porters who take your bags at the pier?

For the porters, typically $2/bag is the norm. If the shuttle helps you load/unload your bags, which they probably will, again $2/bag. For the cab, if its a set fare of $36, I usually say 10% tip but maybe in this case especially if the cab driver helps with luggage maybe a $10 tip.

we usually tip the porters more, since they are handling our luggage..

i gave them 20$ for 7 bags..

seems like a lot . but there was chaos at the pier and the porters were hard to find, so when we got one , we were happy..

as far as the taxi, a few dollars extra is good like 3$-5$

and the shuttle, i would say 5$ is good..

thats just what i tip.. sometimes my mom thinks im crazy, but she doesnt realize how everything changes.. hee heee I love her !!! :)
