Las Escobas Waterfalls vs. Rio Dulce Canyon/Ak-Tenamit /Livingston

We'll be in Santo Tomas aboard the Oceania Regatta in December and have narrowed our Happy Fish excursions down to the two listed in the thread title. Las Escobas is the shorter at about two hours, but sounds a bit more "scenic" and interesting; however, we do like the idea of seeing so much more on the other (but will we be so over it before the end of the five hours?).

I'm sure we'd enjoy either, but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with one or the other (or BOTH?!) to share. We're quite torn between the two!
