This past month we visited Falmouth and I asked our driver to take us to HIS favorite jerk place, which turned out to be every driver's favorite jerk place - Scotchie's (which was not bad, just okay).

Will visit again next year, so cruisers - where is the best place in Falmouth to get some local cuisine, a nice drink, catch the sights, and help support their local economy (in Falmouth - not Ocho Rios where they are dripping in tourist money)?

Jaci:

From my own recent experience:

Step 1: sign up on their site

Step 2: shoot off mouth in front of never-before-seen tablemates the night before. Convince two of them that you may be crazy, but sound like fun.

Step 3: show up at the yellow and green kiosk inside the port area a few minutes before time to sign photo waivers.

Step 4: Let the ladies who actually run the tour make you look like you actually know something. Spend a pleasant 2.5 hours between strolling through town and sitting down and eating no fewer than three times.

Step 5: See your tablemates' image the next time from an online review, rating 5. Gloat.

  • 2 months later...

We were just in Falmouth last month and took the jamaicaculinarytour. It's a wonderful tour with lots of food. We started out with local fruit and sugar cane before we even left the port area. Then we had the meat patties at Spicy Nice and later on jerk chicken at Pepper's Jerk. I couldn't tell you exactly their locations since we had a guide. The tour was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone.
