Gumbalimba park and tabyana beach

Hi, I will be traveling on Carnival Valor leaving May 3rd and was wondering if it was possible to do Gumbalimba Park and Tabyana beach in same day in Roatan. Also if there is a way to avoid booking both excursions thru carnival. Maybe doing one or both on our own. Mainly interested in just seeing Monkeys at Gumbalimba and then spend rest of day at beach and some snorkeling.

Any input would be great thanks!:)
