ship time vs guatemala time

I always seem to have problems with this... ;)

Itinerary says in port 7am - 5pm. Is 7am ship time the same on land - or is there a time difference? We're cruising 3/3-3/10/13.

we're on HAL in march and were told by hal that ship time is same as local

okay, thanks. i also sent the question to the tour company people there, and will post again if i hear something different.
