I have been focused on our first cruise of our big Europen adventure and neglected planing for our second cruise on the Q V in August. We are on the 8th Aug Rome to rome leg.

I have now booked train from port to rome, picaso museum and the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.

Any other suggestions on must book before sailing to avoid lone lines would be great.

Not long now

I think you are visiting La Spezia which is a jumping off spot for Florence or Pisa, I would suggest Florence because Pisa is quite disappointing if you think the Tower is large. There is a good train service see here - http://www.trenitalia.com. I believe that the relevant stations are La Spezia Centrale, Pisa Centrale and Firenze Santa Maria Novella. The other places that you will visit probably have no areas or things of special interest, Monaco has the Casino and the racetrack (yawn) and Ajaccio has some nice restaurants and statues of Napoleon Bonaparte who was a very small Frenchman apparently. Enjoy the trip.

Thanks for this. We are staying in Piccaolli a small town between Florence and Pisa so have them covered. Out of Le Spezia we are think cinque terra other than that you maybe right and its a see how the day goes at each port.

Definitely the Cinque Terre is worth your time. We have stayed in one of the villages twice and taken the train to the others. Each is different, small and charming. It would be a wonderful day!
