We are sailing on Celebrity Millenium in October to Asia.

Any advise on finding private English-speaking taxi/guide in South Korea and Japan as opposed to using the expensive cruise group tours?

Japan includes Kyoto, Mt.Fuji, and Yakahama.

Japan includes Kyoto, Mt.Fuji, and Yakahama.

I suspect you mean Yokohama which is a port close to Tokyo that cruise ships use if not docking at Harumi which is in Tokyo itself

Kyoto will be a short train ride from Osaka - a great place to visit with lots of temples to visit - the ancient capital of Japan

Mt Fuji and Hakone area is a day trip from Tokyo - lots of public tours run up to that area eg http://www.hatobus.com/en/course/fuji.html

Depending on how long you are in Yokohama get a train (there are lots of them) to Tokyo Station and use one of the local tour services to explore Tokyo eg http://www.hatobus.com/en/

If you have particular interests let me know and I suggest areas or sights that fit your requirements
