Cabs in Galveston

Has anyone gotten off the Navigator and just grabbed a cab? How easy is it and are there a lot of cabs available? We are just worried about booking transportation to Hobby and not being out there in time for it.

Cab fare from Port Galveston to Hobby is going to be very expensive. Post cruise we used the Royal Caribbean transfer and was happy with that. There will be many buses lined up outside waiting. It is through RCI, they wont leave without you as long as you debark with everyone else. Hope this helps, have a GREAT cruise!

Thanks for the info. We are looking at all options. Does anyone know if there are lots of cabs available at the port waiting for people to debark? Also are any of the cabs vans?
