Guarantee Assignment

Hi all,

I've booked guarantees before, but usually after final payment and the room assignment comes right away.

This past weekend I switched from an E to a balcony guarantee in order to save $800. Final payment is a month away.

Do they usually wait until after final payment to assign rooms?

I'm curious because right now there are only 4-5 E rooms left and that would be the logical category to assign. However, they could be waiting until after final payment when a lot of rooms will come available.

There's no pattern I've been able to see in the assignment of guarantees. The assignment can come anytime between now and when you arrive at the pier.

Thanks Clarea :) longer may be better if the rooms keep selling out lol maybe a random upgrade :)
