Maya Key or Victor Bodden

With the price decrease from 50.00 to 30.00 to go to Maya Key, would a day be better spent there or do a tour with Victor Bodden, with a snorkeling tour to the Blue Channel? We love to snorkel but also will have mom along who will probably just want to relax. I guess what I want to know is if the snorkeling would be better at Maya Key or on the boat to Blue Channel with extra time spent around the West Bay area. Does the personal tour of the island with Victor offer a lot to see on Roatan?
