Default How much is the train ticket from Cannes to Monte Carlo?

We will be docking Cannes from 7am-3pm on NCL Gem on Saturday. This will be our last stop, want to take it easy.

We just want to stroll Monte Carlo Square, visit the grand casino. The ship charges $89pp for 6 1/2 hours.

Can we DYI by taking the train or taxi(?), spend a couple hours there.

Any suggestions?

cost last month 12 euro return. Easy walk to station, 1 hour on train, lovely views along route. Monaco was a favourite port for us.
