Krabi or Phi Phi

I will be in Phuket docked overnight.As non of the ships excursions go to any of these islands I was going to make my own way there.Which one would be the better one to go to,Krabi or Phi Phi.If I am correct I think the ferry is around two hours.Also I was thinking of spending the evening in Phuket town and returning to the ship around midnight would this be advisable.

We spent a week on Phi Phi and highly recommend it. There are scheduled ferries that you can pre book. The trip over takes about 2 hours but there is also a catamaran that is less crowded and faster. You will land in the main town on phi phi It is quaint with lots of shops and restaurants and beautiful beaches. If you are going on the ferry with no luggage you will get on and off quickly. All luggage is just tossed on board and people left to find their own upon disembarkation.
