What to do with ourselves and luggage in Galveston?

The day we get back from our cruise, we have a shuttle picking us up to take us back to Hobby Airport, but not until around 2pm. I'm assuming we will be off the ship fairly early (we will be on RCCL Navigator)

What should we do with ourselves and our luggage? I thought maybe we could store our luggage at the hotel we will have stayed at prior to our cruise and then we can walk around and what not. I don't know if they will allow that though.

Any one have any suggestions?

I'm interested in this answer also. We'll have 7 or 8 hours.

I'm also interested in this, maybe there's lockers or something similar?We may have a couple of hours. I'd much rather explore Galveston than the airport if it's possible.

Book an earlier flight home. Or stay an extra day in Galveston.
