Which luau to attend - one at Kahalu'u or Polynesian Centre

I want to know which Luau I should attend. The one NCL puts on at Kahalu'u or the one at the Polynesian Cultural Centre.

The one I want to know is the one NCL takes you to in Kauai at Kalama not Kahalu'u.

You don't want to just go to Polynesian Culter Center just for Luau as it's at least an hour drive away.

As for the NCL Luau it does get some good reviews but there will be anywhere from 600 to 800 people from the ship. They stagger the departure times in order to keep the cattle herding to a minimum. It's also very kid friendly.

We went to Smith's Family Luau on Kauai. They pick you up at the pier and it's about a 20 minute drive to the Luau. There is a tram ride when you get to the Luau site, then they explain the Imu ceremony, drinks are then served, the Luau feast is served and then the guests are sent to the theater for the Luau show. Very enjoyable time was had to everyone who went. Forgot to mention that they take your picture when you arrive and you can purchase the picture before the Luau Show. Great Time!!
