What's the earliest we can get off the ship and the very latest we con get back on?

We are renting a car and driving to Chitzen Itza. I know it is almost two hours each way, but we are destined to go there! So, we need to know how far we can push the envelope!

You will be off the ship within 30 minutes after the ship is cleared by Mexican port authority. You will be expected back onboard 30 minutes prior to sailing.

To answer the other thread now knowing that you will be driving, try one of the haciendas near Chichen Itza. My lunch was excellent and since the tour including lunch buffet was only $42, the buffet must be pretty reasonable.

Take some water, wear loose fitting clothes and a hat. The sun is intense.
