Car rental to Merida?

I think Executive Car Rental has an office in Progreso. Caution. The streets in Merida are narrow and conjested (lots of busses) and mostly one way. I'm renting from Avis but at the Merida airport. Bus service seems to be the easiest and certainly the cheapest. Not really looking forward to driving in the city. BTW. It's only 21 miles.

You can, but there is little parking there so it probably is easier to take a bus.

If you take the free shuttle into Progresso, it is 2 - 3 blocks to the bus station. The bus which about $2 each way is air conditioned and only makes 3 or 4 quick stops between Progresso and the Merida teminal which is about 2 blocks from the town square.
