Hdawson - question for you about Celestun

Hope you won't mind the fact I am directing this to you but it seems there is not much information about Celestun on these boards (that I can find in any event), and you seem very knowledgeable about this area. Have you ever been to Celestun? We would like to go when we are there in January, we have twelve hours, and I am thinking of taking the bus to Merida, renting a car there (I assume we can't rent a car in Progreso), driving to Celestun, taking a tour by boat of the Biosphere Reserve, etc., driving back to Merida, spending some time there and then taking the bus back to Progreso. Does that sound reasonable? Any suggestions? Thanks for your time and any advice you can give.
