You can get off the ship in Ketchikan by testing positive for Covid the day before you arrive there.  You could then quarantine in your daughter's residence.  But I wouldn't recommend it.  😛

funny you say that she mentioned she saw people recently getting off a cruise with their luggage, and then added that they had recently tested positive for covid.   We actually laughed that a false positive may be what is needed.

  2. My daughter is working in Ketchikan this summer.  I would like to take a cruise and visit with her.   While many ships stop in Ketchikan, few, if any, start or end there.  Does anyone know of a cruise line that would allow be to either begin or end my cruise in that port and not do a round trip option?  I seem to be hitting a brick wall.

  3. We were on the Escape over thanksgiving. We had something booked every night and did not pay for any. I believe some of the dinner shows you had to pay for, but we did not choose any of those. Probably our least favorite was the Escape Room. Group table set ups made it difficult for entire group to get involved, so some were left out and we had about 8 groups playing at one time, so it was confusing. We enjoyed the brat pack and the Harlem nights show and the comedy club.

  4. Just off the Escape.. Booking tender was easy off the app, but believe you could use tv or touch screens in hallways. We chose a late time as we had not booked an excursion and wanted a leisurely start to the day. They were calling groups quicker then anticipated, we were able to leave when we wanted to (didn't wait for our group to be called). Meeting was in the Escape theatre, but we didnt' even get into it, they just ushered us down to 4 and onto a tender. There were 3 ships in port the day we were there, it was packed, beaches were crowded.

  5. there is a box office by the entrance to the escape theater that you register at. We just did it on a Wednesday night at 10pm.. I'm not certain what other times it was offered. Space is limited to around 8 groups of 10 and it takes around an hour. The entire group had a great time. . No one in our session was able to "escape". Good luck with it

Great review as always; I have been a member for several years, QUESTION: We will be going on an Escape Christmas cruise this year and would like to participate in the Escape room circus (I think that is what it is called). From my reading on the boards you can only sign up for it when on board the ship, would you know which days this event is offered and where do you sign up for it ? Guest services ? Haven concierge ?

    THANK YOU in advance.

  6. just off the Escape yesterday. We enjoyed both the Brat Pack and After Midnight show. Our kids were 13 to 16, I think they enjoyed the Brat Pack the best, but only you know what is acceptable for your kids, After Midnight was fine for the kids, but they didn't get into it the same way

Disembarkataion was quicker then anticipated. I believe the self disembarkation was to be between 8 and 830. by 8 am they were already calling groups. We picked a later time, so we could enjoy breakfast. I think we were suppose to be called at 930, but were called by 9 and were out and back at the parking lot by 10. It could not have been easier.

    Enjoy your cruise.

    A couple questions:

    1) I know brat pack isn’t kid friendly. Is After Midnight ok for younger audiences (10 year old)?

    2) How early did you line up for self disembarkation? Any hints or tips regarding disembarkation.

    Thanks!
