  1. Yay! I have been waiting for this!!! It was so nice meeting you and chatting with you at the Red Frog, read all your reviews & usually stay quiet, but truly appreciate all the tips from you great reviewers. Looking forward to reliving our cruise through your eyes! Miss the ship so this will help. Also thank you for the advise on sailing out of New York. We are def looking into it.

Great dedication to your son, no parent should have to go thru that kind of pain. Bless u and your family.

  2. ^^^ I agree, so excited to try the new menus on the Breeze in 17 days. I like the idea of new port of call selections, new items such as Beef Wellington , Sea Bass, flatbreads, calamari , s'mores parfait, ..... and still keeping a majority of old popular favorites . I'm going to have a hard time deciding. Thank you for posting these. Same itinerary we are doing so much appreciated [emoji1]

  3. We did it and it worked out great. Nice to try new drinks, different wines at dinner, ect. We also brought an small insulated shoulder cooler to take beers to the islands. We would ask for capped beers to take to the room, load em up and take them to the ports.

  4. True story-I was walking through a casino on another cruise line and stepped in poop! Not a joke. It was daytime and I was just passing through! I had on flip flops and my foot slid out in front of me. I caught my balance looked down and GROSS . Not sure why it was there-A diaper that leaked???? I had a hard time getting the casino dealer to understand what I was telling her and had to pull bar chairs in a circle to prevent others from stepping in it, all while standing on one foot. Finally got custodial help and I took off the flip flop and threw it away. Never got anything on my foot but next stop was the shower and then a trip to the gift shop to buy new flip flops. (I was so happy that the original ones had the thick soles.)

This could just as easily have happened in the buffet. I never go anywhere in the public area without something on my feet and anytime i'm tempted I just remember that incident.

LOL ... That is pretty disgusting but that post made me laugh

  5. I'm sorry to say

    but I see a trend

    Carnival is starting to charge

    so things they can mend

    So pay for music

    and pay for food

Then more you pay and pay

    now hows your mood?:eek::eek:

You know though, ... it is only $5. I do not mind paying for a venue, at all, if it is something I am interested in, rather than including it the cruise fare and charging higher cruise fares for everyone. I will not eat green eggs & ham with a goat or on a boat, but do not mind paying $35 for the Steakhouse. IMHO , it is a great option for the kiddies.

  6. Definitely Karl Bird for me. His energy level is astonishing. On the Victory he was everywhere and interacted with people constantly.

I agree, love him. First time I ever noticed a cd. His energy is great and he was everywhere. We had him on the Liberty. Does anyone know if he is still w/ Carnival?

  7. Sounds like an over all wonderful vacation experience, with all your family did. It is disappointing Carnival does not have an area for 18-20 year olds. we have a 19 year old sailing this summer. he has cruised before so knows the routine, but would still be nice to for them to offer? Australia is on of my bucket list vacation spots. Cannot wait to visit your country sometime in the future. Thanks for your review.

  8. Your son sang a Britney Spears song? Um, ok.

Yes he did. He is a very outgoing & funny kid.. It was all a joke but did the dance moves & got everyone involved. The carnival employee running the karaoke sought me out to tell me how much fun & entertaining it was ... I know my kid so I can only imagine ... It is a cruise ya know

  9. Last year took my sons, 16 & 17 and my sons friend. We took along a notarized form (can print from Carnivals website, or have your vaca panner send) from both parents & his birth certificate. Nobody even asked for it but I would bring it just to be safe.

As far as the clubs, at first they all 3 were 'too cool' for it, but shortly they used it everyday and met many new friends they still talk to. It is very nice for them to have a place to go. My youngest even entered a karaoke contest coming in 2nd singing a Britney Spears tune, lol

  10. Of course anywhere can have a bad day/week/chef (and it's usually when you recommend a place!) but I've found the Fascination food to be the best we've had on Carnival. We've been on her twice and going again in January. It's been the only ship we've been on where the food was consistently cooked properly and at the appropriate temperature. But it's just as probable that we got lucky as you were unlucky.

But to answer the OP the bitter and blanc and, surprisingly to me, the prime rib.

Just what is bitter and blanc? Never had it on a cruise but have been hearing a lot about it.
