  1. BA are currently having a business class sale, they code share with AA so it might be worth checking the BA website.

Also Quatar are having a sale too and they are part of the one world alliance, but their sale only covers flights up to 30/06/16

    Thanks!

  2. You can get a quote for business class but it has to be with a certain department that is open M-F. I tried just calling the normal 1-800 Carnival number on the weekend & the helpful rep was able to give me economy quotes but said if I wanted business a different department handled that. I ended up not using their services but it was good to know it is offered.

Ok, great. Thanks for the info.

  3. We are debating about getting a rental vs doing taxis. We are staying in Miami Beach and wondered about parking at restaurants and such. We know we are going to Yardbird for a meal, and other places. We fly in next week and will be in MB for 3 nights. I keep going back and forth about getting a car...the fees are high since we are flying into FLL and want to return it Saturday morning near the port.

  4. Hello fellow cruisers - thank you in advance for your thoughts!!!

We will be in port in St. Maarten for the standard 8am - 5pm, the day before Thanksgiving on the Celebrity Reflection. I have read differing views on whether we can get to Anguilla for the day. I have been talking to "Private Yacht Charter SXM". They have great reviews on TripAdvisor but I can't find a single review about them here on CC. Can anyone tell me if they know this charter group?

And does anyone have experience going to Anguilla from St. Maarten on a PRIVATE charter vs. taking the public ferry. Of course I would presume the public transportation takes longer but I don't know that for sure either. Would just like to hear of others experiences taking a private boat charter to Anguilla from St. Maarten on a standard cruise ship time frame. Just not sure we can make this work.

The charter folks say we can go to Rendezvous Bay, no problem. Leaving St. Maarten at 9am and planning to be BACK in St. Maarten by 3pm. Just so we have plently of time to get back to the ship and onboard. We never cut it close. But for some reason, I am just nervous, feeling like going to Anguilla from St. Maarten is too far. Is it? Thoughts anyone?

Hello...did you end up using this company?

  5. Hello...

Looking for some answers regarding Celine charters. I have emailed him 3 times, but he doesn't answer my questions he just writes "I have reserved 3 places for you on Tuesday the 26th of May for the St Maarten beach Getaway trip.

When is it convenient time to phone you for a credit card."

I wanted to know how many people does his boat hold, and if it's fairly easy getting on/off.

Any input is very much appreciated.

  6. Brianna, I just wanted you to know that reading your reviews is what gave me the courage to go on my first cruise. Please feel free to add me as a friend and I will tell you more detail as to my fears and why I was so hesitant. My first cruise was on the Ecstasy - your review of that ship is what helped me make the choice of the ship. I had never been on a cruise, and I decided to go alone. I had the time of my life and thinking of your reviews and how much fun you had is what helped me decide to come out of my shell when I was on the cruise and allow myself to have fun and meet new people. Honestly Carnival should pay you for your reviews. I have visited many reviews but yours keeps everyone engaged and somehow doesnt start a frenzy of arguments and negativity from those out there who just seem to want to start trouble. Thank you!!

I will be on the same sailing as you! If you want to meet up let me know :-)

  7. Yes that rainbow was beautiful. I was so surprised when I turned the corner to look back at the ship to see the rainbow.

If you want both of those ports of call then you should look at the Carnival Glory. Some friends of mine just booked the Carnival Glory for May 16th....that cruise goes to Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay, and St. Thomas. Those would be wonderful ports to visit

That sounds like a great itinerary!
