  1. We are currently waiting to disembark the Crown. They are already behind 45 minutes just on letting people off the ship. This in no way has anything to do with the Norovirus though, There were only 15 cases of norovirus and it did not hit until the 2nd day. They did a wonderful job of containing the virus from spreading. They did a deep cleaning during the first port day and I saw them taking mattresses and sealed luggage off the ship.I have to command Princess on the job well done.

  2. We are waiting to disembark from the Crown this week. While we did have a few cases of Norovirus I have to commend the crew on an awesome job stopping the spread of the Norovirus. There were only 15 cases and I didnt feel threatened at any time that I was going to get sick. They had a very thorough deep cleaning the first day in port and after the cases were reported we were not allowed to touch any of the utensils in the buffet, we were served our food plus all the salt shakers, butter, sugars etc... were taken off the table.

  3. Hi all!

Just returned from Crown Princess on a 7 day California Coastal Cruise that included Los Angeles (San Pedro), San Francisco, Santa Barbara, San Diego and Encenada. For those interested, I've included some Princess Patter info, menu's and plenty of photos from our cruise. I'm in the process of labeling the pics and they should be finished by the end of the weekend. Hope you enjoy if you haven't been on Crown or are just interested. It is the last album in my sets.

Thanks for sharing we sail on the Crown in two weeks.

  4. we always book an obstructed view on the emerald deck and book the ones between the lifeboats. We have E512 for our cruise in April. We have had this cabin before on the Caribbean Princess and one time we even had a perfect view of a school of dolphins right outside our window. We mainly book this cabin because of the light and like to leave the curtain open. Just be sure to close the curtain when you are dressing because crew members are sometimes out the window doing maintenance by the life boats...lets just say I know this from experience lol :)

  5. I will not be posting live but will pop in occasionally with any info I think might be helpful.

There is no charge for room service.

There is no Curtis Stone menu.

There is salmon in the MDR at Embarcation.

There are several times offered for the UBD. 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8 pm. We have chosen 7:30 as we leave Puerto Vallarta. Thanks Keith!

Here is a photo leaving San Francisco. It's a first for us leaving at night. It was glorious.

    Cheers, Denise

Beautiful picture, this makes me really miss San Francisco. Have a wonderful cruise on one of our favorite ships.

  6. Can anybody tell me how obstructed the view really is on deck E on the Caribbean Princess? Sometimes obstructions are very minimal and I'm hoping that is the case here.

    Thanks!

Which cabin? We have stayed in Cabin E514 three times. No real obstruction it was between life boats. I have a picture somewhere that I took out the window. We booked E512 on our next Crown cruise and hope it is about the same way.

  7. we got the email today too for our April cruise. My boss just got back from Punta Cuna and she is pretty sure she got Zika virus when she was there since she was bitten alive by mosquitoes. She had all the symptoms. She was sick about a week but nothing worse than when you get the flu. I'm not worried about it.

  8. I thought about passing on the drink package but I buy the soda card and also the coffee card because I like the foo foo coffee drinks. After deducting the price of those two cards from the total it is only roughly $275 or 4 Martinis a day without the card. Definately getting one for the hubby because he is always in trouble when the bill comes at the end of the cruise lol.

  9. Crooner's martini menu from July 2015. Had the AIBP and made Crooner's my local with a mission to work my way through it on 14 day Med cruise. Flamingo, chocolate obsessions and Cosmos among my favourites1a73fc687d0291aec29b054c3dfbfc23.jpg8e411b972423ba77b0fb4d916a9840f3.jpg5aa7036efd1c5976a16311afdd7df02b.jpg869c5cf85301a7f2f8f144ea75378ba1.jpg but discovered I don't like whisky based ones [emoji13]

I plan on working my way thru the whole martini menu. My favorite on the last cruise was the Violetta Martini and the Tango Tini..Thanks :)

  10. When our son was little on his first cruise he had Fettucini everynight. After the third night our waiter when he got to him he said "and you sir will have the fettucini" lol. We went to the cooking demo and that was one of the things they cooked so we were able to get the recipe. I still make it but not very often because it has a zillion calories.

  11. I too am wondering about the Martinis-foo foo as well! lol

I am also wondering about the frozen yummy fancy drinks....I like to get the odd one and wondered if they were included or not. I'm thinking not because I think they are more than 10 bucks....unless it's the drink of the day.

Trying to talk hubby into this package and he doesn't want to, I'm thinking it will benefit us though!

I'm thinking if I remember correctly the foo foo martinis were $8.25 last year. We had enough of them. My goal this year is to try all 75 different kinds :) Yep we are getting our money worth on that drink card.

  12. Thanks for your review. We are also in an inside cabin on the Baja deck glad to hear it was decent size we are use to the outside obstructed view on Princess and was worried hubby would get in my way too much in an inside lol :) Do you happen to know if they were offering the alcohol drink package onboard?
