  1. If you buy a package like we did, you'll probably need to wait until you're onboard. One would think with today's technology, going online after you book a dining package and book your reservation restaurant and times would save everyone time and hassle, right? Well ... that's not happening, so on Day 1 you have a long line of grumpy people who can't get the restaurant on the day they want or the time they want and take it out on the staff when technology could solve the problem ... cue the Charlie Brown sigh.

Thanks so much for letting us know. Hopefully RCCL will let us start making reservations for those of us that have purchased the 5-night Dining Package online or on the app soon!

  3. On a previous thread, it was stated that those that purchased a Specialty Dining Package would be able to make reservations prior to embarkation. We are sailing on the Radiance in Oct. this year and would like to do that prior to boarding to avoid the hassle of trying to doing this once onboard. I've called C&A twice and have been told I needed to wait until I'm onboard. Anyone aware to if/when the change to reserve prior to boarding will become a reality? One would think that it would also be less of a hassle for ship staff on that first day, too. Am I being too logical?

  4. We were on the Solstice on the Dec. 11 cruise and ate at the Tuscan Grill the first night. I brought in a nice bottle of wine and was charged $35 corkage. I checked with Guest Relations and they confirmed it. I should have asked ... thought it was still $25. Lesson learned ... I won't be bringing any wine into any dining room ... that's excessive I my mind.

  5. We normally sail in a balcony cabin on either Celebrity or RCCL on transatlantics back to the States. I'd like to know from those that have sailed in the inside cabins in the Yacht Club, are the YC lounge and sun deck enough to 'compensate' for not having a balcony? Is there enough going on that we wouldn't feel 'couped up' in an inside cabin? Thanks!

  6. We've done 8 transatlantic cruises on Celebrity and RCCL and are thinking about doing one on the Onward. We enjoy the big production shows, the variety of lecture series and other big state acts. What's the entertainment like on Azamara being that it's a much smaller ship? Thanks for your guidance.

  7. We're investigating the possibility of an MSC cruise and would like to try the Yacht Club experience and are wondering about the Inside Cabins as a way of trying MSC a little less expensive ... will the YC lounge, dining room and pool, would we miss having a balcony? We sail mostly on Celebrity (Elite status) and Royal (Diamond) and appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

  8. Unless you are on a U S Navy ship.:D

On the USS Parsons (DDG-33), we had 2 in 1971-2 where we were out 55 days straight and then the next time it was 77. We stopped in Okinawa to refuel on our way back from 'Nam to our homeport in Japan on the 77 day cruise ... never have I seen so many drunk guys try to get the ship cast off so we could head home ... UFFDA!!

  9. We're also having problems with our TA on the Constellation on Nov. 5. We've been trying to access for 3 weeks now and are dealing with a Captain's Club rep who says it's being worked on after trying to email Celebrity and getting continuing 'error messages'. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. They do have an IT dept., right???

  10. So, we both received emails that we could run off our X-Press passes for our Nov. 5 TA cruise on the Constellation. When we clicked on the link, we were told that they couldn't access the reservation. OK ... maybe I was a little too quick. Over a week later and I'm still trying ... and reading about others having problems with the Celebrity web site. So today, after we've changed cabins and want to check the new reservation, I still can't get into the system. So I went to the 'Contact Us' site and sent an email bemoaning my concerning. When I send the email, I get an message that the page no longer exists. What the ...? So I send another email inquiring about the message ... yeah, you're way ahead of me ... and yes, the same message comes up. I can get to our reservations for a Feb. 2016 South American cruise, but not our Nov. 2014 cruise. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Earlier today, my wife contacted by phone the web support people and was told, "you really don't need to look that up ... it's OK". Really? That's customer service? In your line of work, past or present, would people who said that to customers still have a job? C'mon Celebrity ... we love cruising with you and service onboard is wonderful ... what's with the amateur web site and IT help? I'm waiting for a response ... are you there? Are you listening? Helllllllllllllo?

  11. I organized a group of 12 with Nick at Private Greece Tours. This was a very professional experience from online booking to the actual tour in November while on the Equinox. Our guide showed us the requisite sites with recommendations on how best to observe, spoke about their culture gave us hints on what to see on the Greek Islands coming up. I would use them in a minute on any return visit.
