  1. Hello -

We have our day set up with a tour that satisfies the Support for the Cuban People requirement. They don't offer a night tour. We'd like to find someone to take us around in the evening - perhaps start with the cannon firing and then continue to several nightlife venues that would be appropriate for mid-lifers. We don't want to go to a show, just some bars with fun music and atmosphere. We could perhaps do this on our own, but I'd like to consider a guide. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  2. Hi all -

I have done a lot of searching through old posts and I'm just not finding many suggestions for different second day activities. We are scheduled to have two full long days in port in August. My party of 4 adults has said that they would like to cover Havana in one day and then head out to something different for the second day. It seems like the driving time to the other possible areas are really long... I'm wondering if it's worth it to spend 4 - 6 hours roundtrip in travel time? I've contacted the most commonly mentioned tour guides from this board and I've only received information back on the Day 1 Havana tours. I'd like some honest feedback as to whether it makes sense to try to go further and see more of the country on that second day -- or should we just dig deeper in Havana? And does anyone have any specific suggestions of tours or guides who would offer the kind of experience we'd like to find for that second day?

    Thanks!

  3. Hello!

Booked a last minute cruise on Costa Luminosa and leave in just over a week! Time for research is limited. I'm looking at an excursion in Geiranger that involves some bus touring and a walk to the glacier that is said to be about a 45 minute walk. Has anyone done this or a similar excursion and know if the hike is a gentle slope, or is it a steep uphill hike?

And... are there any companies that book this independently instead of paying the cruise line $150 for me to climb up a hill??

Thanks for any suggestions you might have -

  4. Hi everyone -

Just booked a Fjords cruise that departs in about a week an a half on Luminosa! I usually do a lot of research and just don't have time this time. So a couple of questions that I hope someone might be able to help us with!

    1. We're really looking to the scenery and beauty of this cruise but not excited about some of the traditional cruise activities like dressing up for formal night. Am I understanding correctly that this ship doesn't offer a buffet option at dinner? And if so, what is the minimum we can dress up in order to be able to be in the dining room on formal night? Shirt and tie OK or is a jacket necessary?

    2. Looking at an excursion out of Hellsyt or Geiranger (I'm probably spelling those wrong) that includes a hike/walk to the glacier area. Has anyone done this? Is it really a strenuous uphill walk or just a slope that would be manageable for a person with average physical stamina?

    3. Anybody have any general tips about this ship or itinerary to help out this very disorganized traveler?

    4. Anybody know the price of wireless on the ship and/or is it possible to find wireless in port?

    Thank you all!!
