caribbean2000, Gene, this is a wonderful thread. As you can see there is no disrespect about these 2 ladies. I've been fascinated reading this entire thread and seeing the pictures over the years. Sadly, these graves will probably eventually be lost in the sea. If I ever go to the Cays, I hope the graves are still there because I would like to take the walk and see the area. Thank you for creating this thread. It has made everyone think about these ladies, and wonder what their history was. I like the poem that was posted half way through, very thought provoking.

Close to all the open decks for viewing!

Close to the buffet!

A nice walk to the aft pool and bar!

Forward elevators are not busy! (except after muster and maybe the main show) and an easy ride down to the Piazza!

I have a quick question. I read on here a few people stating that they ordered wine at Vines but they didn't have the Tapas anymore. What are the Tapas and have they eliminated them?? Thanks- Linda

Does anyone know if they will ever do the Ocean Medallion for the Star?

I booked directly with Princess. Got notified of 2 cruises I had on hold. Both now have new booking numbers, changed from Star to Ruby, and have a new 3 day hold. I'm not keeping them. I have 2 others on the Star. One has a deposit for an inside cabin and the other is the same cruise with a balcony for sip n sail for Nov 24, 2018. I plan to move my deposit from the inside to the balcony when I get the new changes. Still waiting on those.

They have 2 more days to re-book all these cruises. I'm still waiting...

Starting to get concerned.... It concerns 2 cruises!

They reassured me when I contacted them early in the week but- ????

I just got done talking with Princess because I was concerned that my courtesy hold would drop off since it is past the payment date. She said that they don't have access to all the redeployment lists at one time. She had trouble finding the Star cruise, that it wasn't on the list! I said I was looking at it in my personalizer. She called the help deck and they found the ship and cruise. She said that the hold would be re-booked and given a 3 day hold again like the original one. She said that she noted the conversation and what the help desk stated in my booking notes. We just have to wait...

My daughter is on the Star April 2019 Alaska cruise. She got the deployment notice and only her sail date was changed by 2 days- still on the Star. So it's not up for the public to make new bookings yet. I'm still waiting to hear about my 2018 Mexico cruises

I'm sure they won't publish the cruise for new bookings until they have re-booked everyone on the new ships and schedules. It's just hard to wait in limbo.....

Anyone know what they're doing with the cruises that were on hold and now past deposit date?? I got the email deployment notice on it and the one I have paid deposit on. I hope it doesn't just cancel out when they "unlock" them. I'm on the Star Mexican Riviera Nov. 24, 2018. Paid deposit on an inside Lido deck and put a hold on a balcony for the sip and sail because I wasn't sure which one I wanted to keep. Traveling solo, it's all about the money! But I'm leaning toward the balcony!

Hi! I'm on the same cruise. I wish they would move this change a little faster.

Does anyone know if cruises on hold will still be available to have a deposit made?

I have one on hold for the Star and it was to expire July 10. Now it's frozen and past deposit date.

I feel sorry for the reps that must be getting swamped with phone calls and questions that they can't answer yet. People trying to obtain and keep their cabin choices. What a mess for their computer system and the IT people! So much confusion for everyone....:confused:

I got my email about the change of the ship. I hope they re-book me the same cabin.

I also can't put a deposit on a cruise on hold. I hope it doesn't cancel out for no deposit payment.
