Had a family member with an emergency on the Allure in March. We are convinced he may not still be with us if not for the doctors and nurses on Allure. Outstanding medical facilities and staff.

I add the TV issue on every survey. We had better selections on a river boat in France with 125 people than on RCCL in the Caribbean. Obviously, RCCL is my favorite line and it's not a deal breaker, but it would be GREAT if they listened. We use our laptops and VOOM so we're connected. (Helped us watch our favorite teams during March Madness. They would show 1 or 2 games, but not always our teams). We like to watch while we're getting ready for dinner or when we have an early evening.

Very happy for you and your family. When I read what happened to you, I winced a little and thought "there was probably a time that could have happened to me." Most people learn quickly when they cut it a little too close at a port - they will leave you! I know you're going to enjoy preparing for your upcoming cruise. We have realized that going at least 2 days pre- cruise gives us time to decompress before we board the ship. (Can't always do this, but it helps so much). We are in true vacation mode when we embark. Enjoy reading the reviews and planning your vacation. So happy RCCL helped out - what a great gesture!

Oasis - the options are endless. Food and entertainment are so much better. You won't regret it.

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise. I think this thread is outstanding - so many people suffer from panic and anxiety disorder. Planning is the key! Having dealt with a son with panic disorder, it is clear there is no ONE right way to do anything. Many of the suggestions above sound great, but you have to plan and decide what works best for you. We found being first often worked for us, but that can cause stress as well since you're always worried about getting here or there before the crowds. We were proactive and it worked for him the majority of the time.
I applaud you for living your life! I think the Oasis class ships do feel less crowded than the other ships since you have all those spaces to visit and enjoy.

It's open until 6 p.m. We went about 3 on the last sea day and the roast beef was GONE! :( Many guys on our cruise were getting lots of the meat without bread - bowls of it! Guess they ran out! Anyway, they were FANTASTIC! Had to book another cruise so I could have the one missed on that last day. :)

If you are on Oasis or Allure and carry off your own bags with express departure, you'll be fine the majority of the time. Be one of the first off - go 30 minutes earlier than they tell you. Things happen, but we have done this at least 10 times without a problem. Last March we did an 8:25 a.m. flight. We were at the gate by 7:00 a.m. I always have a Plan B so it doesn't ruin the last couple of days...I don't really get stressed about it. If things like this stress you out, don't even try it.
