This is all very interesting as we are going on a cruise next year that goes to vietnam and Cambodia. have I read it correctly that Australians need 2 passport photos to go into Vietnam and into cambodia?:confused: But the visas are organised on the ship?

Have been researching for our trip next June. Legend doesn't list any shore excursions for Sihanoukville, Koh Samui or the Bangkok port. Does anyone know if they usually do offer excursions at these ports but haven't listed them yet or is the list complete?? Thanks

Just wondering where the cruise terminal for Legend of the Seas is in Singapore and if the Marina Bay Sands is walking distance from it?:)

On advice from a post on CC, we contacted the Don Bosco Hotel School. It is exactly what it sounds like- a hotel and a school to train youngsters for the hospitality industry.

They met us at the port with a van and took us to many of the same local sites- the waterfall, a temple, the market, and the beach where some went for a swim. Lunch was at the hotel and was excellent.

 

Bear in mind that Cambodia suffered greatly in the war and under the Khmer Rouge and is still impoverished. Our group of 12 agreed it was very worthwhile.

Have just booked this cruise but can't find a roll call . So starting one. Hope to make contact with fellow cruisers. We are from Perth, Australia and looking forward to cruising Vietnam and Cambodia.:)
