Kathleen delighted to hear you had a wonderful time on Sovereign. Its good you mentioned not having any difficulties not speaking Spanish. That was our experience also when we cruised on Horizon , and hope we will have it similar when we cruise Sovereign in Oct. Thanks for sharing your photos as well.

Very nice photos. Waves Club on Horizon is located across from the games room. The bar itself was previously called "James piano bar. The Waves Club also has cabinets that supply light sacks and finger food.

We have been in the Grand Suite on the Sovereign, not the Royal Suite. The Grand Suite was spacious and comfortable and our butler was excellent. Instead of a separate bedroom, a heavy curtail divided the sleeping area from the living area. We have been in the Royal Suite on the Zenith but were not at all happy with it. We are booked on the Horizon in the Royal Suite this fall and in the Royal Suite on the Monarch at the end of the year. Most recently we were in a Grand Suite on the Horizon and it was comfortable, but we missed not having a balcony. The embarkation process was smooth and we had extra attention being a Suite guest. We always enjoy the Waves Club perks, especially the reserved deck area and the Club itself where you can often get drinks that are not otherwise available in other bars. For dinner the two of us were seated at a premium table for four in an area of the MDR reserved for Suite guests. For breakfasts there was a special dining room off the MDR where there was a mini buffet for suite guests but you could still go to the buffet area of the MDR or order a la carte too.
Thanks for the helpful information. Below are some photos of our suite 1102 on Horizon. I hope you find them helpful also.

We have been on all the Pullmantur ships and have had good experiences overall.
We normally try to get a Grand Suite or a Penthouse/Royal Suite as the benefits are worth it in our opinion.
On the Zenith we had the Royal Suite and that was our least favorite because the cabin was in quite run down condition, but hopefully they will refurbish it soon or have already.
Drinks are all included but with limited choices unless you upgrade to a premium package.
Here is a link to the drinks menu:

We also book with VtoG but have booked directly with Pullmantur in Spain. The only advantage of booking with Pullmantur in Spain is you can get access to special charter flights that Pullmantur offers from Madrid or Barcelona to the start or end ports for many of their cruises, and the prices are good and you don't have to worry about transfers. Language was not an issue for booking with Pullmantur in Spain and they will call you back to work out the details.
Have you traveled in the Royal Suite on Sovereign? If so could you possibly post of that experience and observations especially embarkation and your MDR arrangements on this board. How did you enjoy the Black/White Waves perks. Have booked this suite for our cruise in Oct. 19, and would be grateful for any information and tips you could share.

I'm out of ideas except you talk to them directly by phone

There is definitely no noisy or smoke. Especially as it is a a forward facing cabin. It's classed as a junior suite (waves white). I personally didn't like the look of it as it would be very windy and I think for this reason it is an enclosed balcony with a sliding window. There are also some very minor obstructed views from ships structure. Hope this helps

It might help also to know that for "Waves Black" guests ....the free laundry service is quite generous. One large bags washed and pressed.

At the time of our cruise SEP 18 wi-fi was only available in the Waves lounge on deck 8 and not in your suite.

We will be in this suite in the fall. The layout is similar to that on the Zenith but appears to have been refreshed somewhat, as the Zenith Penthouse Suite was worn and tired.
Were you able to use the balcony? I ask because ours on the Zenith was always flooded from washing the deck above, and I hope the vacuum system for the toilets works well as it did not on the Zenith. Even our door lock had to be changed as it was not working properly.
We had no issues whatsoever with our suite. We spent a lot of time on our balcony especially in the late afternoon and had no problems of any sort. Getting used to the lighting system in our cabin was the hardest thing to sort out, as they have switched and dimmers everywhere. There are also 3 TVs in the cabin including one in the mirror of the bathroom.

I will get back to you next week with the room number as at the moment we are on the Pullmantur Horizon on the way to Malta.
I will say that the Grand Suite on the Sovereign is much bigger than the Grand Suite we have on this cruise but it is still quite nice on the Horizon.
Oh I hope you have a fantastic cruise on Horizon. We were on it in May and enjoyed it so much . we had suite 1104 then and it had plenty of room. Look forward to hearing from you when you return.

Thanks for sharing your photos. This cabin looks fantastic. Can i ask if you remember what cabin this was? We are booked on Sovereign for next year and have booked suite 1510, and would be delighted if it was similar to yours.

We were on this ship when it was called the Pacific Dream, and I just checked a few pictures and yes, it looks like it has a jogging track.
We will be on the Horizon next month and have a Grand Suite for the two of us. We think it is worth it as you get Waves Club Black benefits which among other things, include a private deck area for Grand and Royal Suite occupants only.
The Horizon has a jogging track on the starboard side of the ship it is on the life boat deck 7 I think. The gym is quite small but we used it every morning around 7am. It was'nt busy at that time and also had a good selection of equipment.

Thank you for the response. We are changing our plans and will probably end up in an outside room on the Sovereign. However your response is helping me plan the next cruise, which will be with my husband. I think the Waves benefits are definitely something we will be doing. Thanks!
Have sailed on Horizon in the Royal Suite,1104 and used the waves black facilities both on the sun deck and the waves bar. We were so impressed with the quality of service and all the additional perks that come with the waves programme. We also have selected Sovereign for our next Pullmantur cruise. Our suite on that cruise is 1015 Deluxe Suite. It is fantastic value and in my opinion well worth the additional cost. I hope this has been some help to you , and if I can assist with anything further please just ask.

We are looking to cruise the Caribbean in April or May and are very interested in a Pullmantur itenerary out of Colon. Does anyone know if the end of April will still be spring break time? We would like to avoid those crowds.
Also, if we book junior suites on the Monarch does that get us into the Waves area? (and therefore it wouldn’t matter if the ship was crowded maybe?)
I can tell you that a junior suite on the Horizon and Sovereign will allow you access to the Waves club , but not the Waves sun deck. To get access to that you will have to book higher grade cabin. I assume its also the same for the Monarch and Zeneth. Hope this helps

Just back from Pullmantur Horizon Canary Island cruise ex Santa Cruz de Tenerife 01st April, posted review, waiting to be published. I am a travel consultant with quite a bit of cruise ship knowledge and I have to say the Horizon exceeded all my expectations for the price paid. Wonderful staff, especially those that served our table in the main dining room, table 30,
Great sized inside cabin grade F, deck 5.
Good food
Basic drinks package is sufficient
Excursions well run
Entertainment in main lounge was very poor but in other bars, the musicians were excellent.
Please drop Agadir from the itinerary, fellow passengers of all nationality, felt the same.
Too pushy to sell the upgrade drinks package.
Other than that it was superb.
Highly recommended
We were on the same cruise. Boarded in Las Palmas on the 31st Mar. Had a wonderful cruise and overall agree with the comments you expressed, especially dropping Agadair from the cruise itinerary.

The ship's interiors looked really good. The furniture and carpets seem to have been new or recovered. Overall the ship is looking sharp. Crew seem to be always touching up the exterior paintwork. It looks like the ship has need in dock recently for a minor inside face lift. Like yourself I had a very good cruise. Have even booked another Pullmantur cruise.

FWIW, here is the E Mail that I received when I sent a message via the Pullmantur website, asking about 2019 sailings from Barcelona:
Hi we have just come off a Horizon and while onboard have booked Sovereign for a Med cruise out of Barcelona for the 14th Oct 19.

Thanks for the post ......very comprehensive and up to date bar menu. Can you tell me if the bar staff will make other cocktails that don't appear on the list eg.... long island ice tea ....cosmopolitanan ... to name but two....

Will be cruising on Horizon at the end of March. Have received plenty of good information from the many Pullmantur contributors. I will post a review when I get back. I'm booked into a suite so will also post about the waves yacht club also.

Pullmantur online check-in
in Pullmantur Cruises
Posted
I'm due to cruise on Sovereign shortly, so have checked in online. When I verified my check in and received my e-documents there were no baggage tags. Their agent Fred Olsen informed me that Pullmantur no longer issues baggage tags with e-documents and you have to check in your baggage at the port!!!!!!
Am I the only one that thinks this is a silly idea. Especially when baggage drop and check in could be made so much easier by being able to have labels already attached to ones luggage.
Or if anyone has any information to the contrary.
