  1. Where does the local buses let you off? Also, how can we get a mini-bus. We were planning to change at the beach, but maybe the mini bus would be better if it drops you off right at the beach.

  2. I am thinking we will probably be spending much of our time in St. George's and Hamilton. Any casual lunch places that anyone could recommend for vegetarians? My husband can be coaxed into poultry, but I am strictly vegetarian. We are not vegan, however, so dairy is fine.

    Thanks all!

  3. We've only been once but quite enjoyed a leisurely horse carriage tour in St. George! Lots of information about what it's like to live on the island, went thru a residential area, stopped and let us pick native flowers from a bush, another stop at the sea glass beach where we were allowed to take a piece each. Just really worth it!

Also, Crystal Caves was neat. (You only need to do one of them though.). And at the same bus stop is the original Swizzle Inn where you can get local fare and try the famous drink.

The horse carriage tour sounds very interesting. Where can I find out about this?

    Thanks!

  4. From what I have read, if we buy a 3 day pass, we will be able to pretty much go to all the places of interest on the island by bus or ferry. Is that correct? This will be our first trip to Bermuda, this time by cruise, and I am just not sure what to book through the cruise and what to try on our own. Booking shore excursions holds you to following a clock more more than we would care to, so we would like to just use the transportation if possible.
