By European regulations those shops past security on ports and airports are considered duty free shops belonging to the port and airport management of the sites. Companies are forbidden to screen whatever else the pax buy there. Just in case, I suggest that you ask the shop employees to put a ports authorities stamp on those bottles if they are not stamped previously (as per my experience they usually are already stamped).
...And let me to give even just another interesting curiosity: Port of Barcelona is currently managed by... Royal Caribbean, exactly! I wonder if they don't charge any corkage fees by consuming wine from those bottles on the MDR! Perhaps not!... :)
Thanks so much

I'll report back what happens when I board Symphony!
Hope your having a great cruise....do you remember which terminal the wine shop was in and also is there any additional screening after you go there? Thanks
-
Yes, it's true, and I've seen it every time we've cruised out of Barcelona, but I cannot remember which terminal we were in.
Thanks Bob. We have terminal C

Does anyone know which terminal (B or C) has the store that sells wine, I had heard there is a store in the terminal after you check in before you go up the escalator. Is this true? Thanks

Tried to search this but couldn’t find. does anyone know the onboard price for the voom and stream package on Symphony? Leaving Sunday. They say it’s 20% off now. $15.99 / a day ? Thanks

We ended up booking with Bohigas...they emailed me first this this morning all my details and pricing, they were so easy to work with. Thanks to all for their great wealth of information. I knew I could count on fellow CC’s.

Hotel Colonial seems a good choice and you are much better of with the private transfer or taxi to get there ,how long are you in Barcelona the Monjuic fountain show is lovely to see but its not on every night its near Plaza España ,if you do go there you could also go to Barcelona Arena if you go in the lift to the top there are lots of restaurants.
We arrive on sept 8th 10:00am stay over night, cruise out next day... thanks so much for all your info you have been a great help!:D

I live in Spain and not heard anymore about strikes in near future , i often travel to BCN and have used the cheaper bus to plaza españa under 2 euros ,or as others have said Aerobus depends on where your hotel is ,and take note if there is a strike you could have also trouble using a shuttle ,pm me if you want me to keep you informed if i hear anything about future strikes.
I had read here on CC that it could be sept or oct for another strike. We are staying at the hotel Barcelona Colonial...not sure where that is located. Just know suppose to be with in walking distance to shops and restaurants. Thanks for your reply I have contacted Bohigas and they are very reasonably priced

I have used them as well - prompt, courteous service. I would definitely recommend them. Eah time that have met me at the airport gate of my arriving flight with a sign.
Thanks I have sent a message to them to take us from airport to hotel, from hotel to ship and then from ship back to airport...price was very reasonable for 7 adults each with luggage and carryons.

We have always been extremely pleased with Barcelona airport transfers by Bohigas.
Excellent clean vehicles friendly on time drivers child seats never had an issue with them.
Thanks I will also look them up...

We use Barcelona day tours for airport pick up and drop off at hotel for our last. Raise out of Barcelona. Good experience.
Thanks so much Maggieq. I will look them up:)

Yep, we get a 6pm Sunday game here in the UK, so 7pm Spanish time (Well we did last season. Doesn't look like Sky Sports will be showing Sunday games this year :()
Bills v Ravens is on at the same time so I hope they're showing more than one game ;););)
Thanks...I personal don’t care lol. But my DH is a huge patriots fan and his brothers and dad that are traveling with us..
-
What time does it start? Don't forget the time difference! If it's the late game it won't be on til 1am Spanish time...
The game starts at 1:00pm US time so 7:00pm Europe time I would think.
-
Some football games will likely be shown, but if they are not the Sunday or Monday night games, then you get whatever they choose.
Thanks Bob.....it is a very popular Sunday game that’s why I was thinking it might be on.
-
Thanks..... but don’t they have multiple TV’s in the bar?🤔
-
does anyone know if they will play football games in the sports bar? The first NE Patriots game is on the day we board 9/9/18
