  1. We bought 4 digital images and 1 8 x 10 for a total of $599.00 in September of 2014 on HA's Westerdam. We love what we received--here is information that may be helpful to others:

[1] the digital images came with a full copyright release.

[2] the images are very high resolution.

[3] the 8 x 10 AND the digital images have all been retouched and done well.

[4] the images are much better quality (crisp focus) than the proof sheet that they gave us on board.

[5] it took 9 weeks post-cruise to receive our images (we live in Michigan)

[6] they photos/disk were extremely well packaged when they arrived -- they could not have been damaged in transport.

[7] They were very expensive (as others have noted) but we feel like they are worth the price. One of them is the best photo I have seen of myself in the last 20 years and another is a fabulous shot which captures us perfectly on our anniversary cruise.

[8] Black Label is completely separate from the regular ship's photographers.

  2. We self-parked our mini-van at the Bayonne pier ("Cape Liberty") in June, 2012, before boarding the Celebrity Summit to Bermuda. Here are our tips:

TIP 1: Locate the pier BEFORE you need to go there. Our GPS had trouble, but we made a dry run the night before. :D [if you have cruised before, you will be under-whelmed with the size of this "terminal." It does wake up a little on cruise day, but it is still very small.]

TIP 2: Pull as close to the boat as you can (actually within a few feet of where you drop luggage). :) Drop luggage and all passengers except driver, and self-park where directed in lot. Short walk (1/4 mile) back to loading area.

TIP 3: DO NOT LET YOUR VEHICLE GET BOXED IN. On our return, we discovered that we had been virtually locked into our spot, with self-parked vehicles all around us. We finally inched -- and I do mean inched -- our way back and forth (including putting a blanket between our van and a car to back against it). It took 1 driver and three spotters over 30 minutes to perform this feat.

CONSIDER BACKING INTO YOUR SPOT, so you can exit forwards, and do everything you can to save yourself room around your vehicle.

  3. In 2010, we took an Alaska cruise (Celebrity Infinity) that we purchased through this site www.christiancruises.net

There were about 200 other people on board who had also booked through this company, and paid higher rates, because we were treated to 2 hour-long concerts each day from Christian musicians (Don Francisco, Matthew Card, Dallas Holm, Michael Card, etc. -- this particular cruise had musicians who were popular in the 70's, 80's and 90's.)

The entire boat was open to all of us, but only those who paid and booked through this company were permitted to attend the concerts (in a small theater). It was a fabulous cruise - we got to know several of the performers individually, and it was worth the extra money (get a cheaper cabin than you would otherwise). As you would expect, the increased price was due to the need to pay the musician's fares for the cruise.

This kind of cruise might be a nice option for those who want to meet other believers and hear inspirational music but also enjoy the other things that a cruise has to offer. We travelled as a family, but it would be a particularly nice way for your Christian singles to cruise.

I believe that they offer 2-3 cruises per year -- some involve music and others have speakers.
