  1. Hi Everyone! I am hoping to get some feedback. My husband and I are long time RCCL cruisers, but are looking at booking our first cruise with our son. We are looking at the 9/18 sailing out of Cape Liberty. He will still be 1 when the ship leaves, but towards the end of the sailing he will turn 2!

I was looking at the pool areas online. From what I am reading the large splash area you have to be potty trained to use. I believe that is the case for the pools too. I did see there was a small separate splash area with a slide and some fountains. Can children with swim diapers use this area?

Same question for coco cay. I know they had a pirate ship splash zone and another larger splash zone. Are there any areas in coco cay where swim diapers are permitted?

Thanks in advance for your help. Any other tips for cruising with a toddler is very much appreciated...totally new way of cruising for us!! 🙂

We are on the same sailing and also have Romina. See you next week 🙂

@Trivia Trickster It was so great meeting you and your adorable kids! We all keep thinking about what we were doing this time last week...according to my clock right now, it definitely included a cocktail and lots of food! We thought Romina was fabulous. Hopefully we will find each other cruising RCCL again!!

  3. Hi Everyone! My family and I will be sailing the Anthem of the Seas on 12/1 and we will have Romina. I was told she used to be a concierge and very well liked among RCCL cruisers. If anyone has had her, please let me know how your experience was. We have sailed star class several times. Each Genie is unique and we have enjoyed every experience! We are looking forward to our cruise in 10 days...but who is counting?!?

  4. Thank you so much for your review! My husband and I are boarding NOS next Monday for the 4 day sailing and we can’t wait. We purchased the unlimited dining program and after your review will make sure one of the first things we do is book the specialty restaurants. Did you happen to save your cruise compasses. If so, would you mind posting? It would be very helpful to see the different restaurant hours during port days to help us plan when we get on the ship. Also, with the unlimited dining plan did you take advantage of trying the food in Playmakers and Bamboo room? Look forward to your feedback!

  5. Hi Everyone! My husband and I will be on the Navigator in May. One of stops is in Nassau from 8am to 9pm. We have been to Nassau numerous times and are considering just taking advantage of having a less crowded ship to enjoy for the day. However, I was curious if anyone has found anything fun to do in Nassau (not part of the typical shore excursions offered by RCCL) that would make it worth getting off the ship. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have!

  6. Hi everyone! My family and I will be setting sail on the harmony of the seas on may 20th in the 4 bedroom family suite. My sister, brother-in-law and their two kids (4 & 1) will be joining us. They are interested in getting feedback and tips regarding activities to do with the kids, babysitting services for adult time and any other info you can share. We are looking forward to making this a memorable experience! Thanks in advance for any info you can share!

  7. Hi everyone we will be setting sail may 20th on the harmony of the seas. My four year old niece is obsessed with the movie trolls right now. Does anyone know if they are on the ship. *sorry if this was discussed in another post. I searched but couldn't find anything

  8. We are booked in a grand loft suite on Anthem for the May 14th sailing to Bermuda coming up. I called RCCL today to find out more details about what we can expect prior to getting on the ship. We booked this suite because of all the additional perks that are included (i.e. drink package, complimentary specialty restaurants, etc.) Everything I have read online states we will plan dinner reservations, excursions, shows, and more, when we get on board with the "royal genie". The person from RCCL I spoke with had no information for me and put me on hold for 10 minutes while he "read up" on what the star class includes. Everything he went over with me is everything you can see listed on the website, so it was really not a helpful call. The only thing he did mention is 30-40 days prior to sailing we will get all of our documentation and it should tell us more about what to expect. I have no problem waiting until we get closer to book things, but I don't want to miss certain excursions, so my husband and I did go ahead and book the golfing excursion in Bermuda. If anyone else finds out more information, please share. We are very excited to experience this new program. I will be happy to keep everyone updated as I get closer to our cruise and hopefully receive more details!
